Gene Hess

I have lived in Minnesota all my life, except for the time that I spent in the Air Force.
In 1960 on vacation in Seattle, Washington I took a day cruise to Victoria, Canada where I saw Bossons for the first time, so I purchased my first two heads. Upon  returning to Minnesota I was unable to find any where I lived. It wasn't until 1965 when I was transferred to Minneapolis that I found stores that had them. We now have over 200 pieces, including some duplicates. I attended my first IBCS meeting in San Francisco, California in 1987.  I retired in 1988 and with my wife Mary try to take a motor trip each year in our RV checking antique malls etc looking for Bossons.  We have traveled throughout lower 48 states.  I have also taken up oil painting the last five years and some examples of my work are displayed below.
