January 2006
My name is Gary Myers and I was born and raised in Oregon. My home in the Willamette Valley is in the State Capital, Salem, near the Pacific Ocean just under the Cascade Mountains. Mild temperatures, very little snow, and plenty of rain keep everything green the year round. My wife, Sandi, and I have two grown children and one granddaughter. I own and operate an automotive repair, wrecking and towing service. Fishing, hunting and Bossons collecting are my hobbies. I started collecting after I became infatuated with a small wall mask my sister had in 1978. I have been an avid collector since, joining the society as a charter member. The huge collection I have acquired contains some of every design made by Bossons and many Ivorex. I have no favorites anymore; I love the detail, design, and history of each piece. The stories of how and where some were found will be life long memories. Nine years ago we started planning our vacation around the Bossons Conventions. I go each year looking forward to new locations and visiting with old and new Bossons friends. Cherished friends for life! It is an honor and privilege to serve on the Board of Directors.
