January 2008
I saw my first Bossons head when I was in my twenties in some of the drug stores in my home town of Aurora, Illinois. I thought they were neat looking and so realistic. I didn’t buy any at the time. I was browsing in Ebay one day in 2002 and came across some Bossons heads. They sparked my interest again so I placed a bid on a couple of heads and I won. The rest is history, I was smitten. I have almost all of the heads except the extremely rare pieces like Kruger, Bengali, Rosa, etc. Recently, I started collecting Ivorex and have about 175 pieces.
My wife, Kathy, and I are both members of IBCS. We feel like members of a large family. The people are so friendly and helpful. We look forward to each gathering whether an international or a Florida meeting.
In addition to collecting Bossons, I am a member of the Apopka Civilian Police Alumni Association and American Orchid Society. I am the Webmaster for the Central Florida Orchid Society. I’m also one of the society Photographers. I also collect Legend heads and Millcreek animal sculptures.
Kathy and I have two sons, Mike, a Software Engineering Manager for Harris Corporation in Melbourne, Florida and Steven, a Policeman in Apopka, Florida. We have three beautiful granddaughters, Julia, Sarah, and Annabelle. We are blessed!
