I moved from my home state of Maine to Florida in 1986 and met my husband Jeff 6 years later. I often ask myself how I went through 47 years of my life without really knowing about Bossons. All that changed when Jeff and I got married. He owned 20, or so, pieces and from the moment we put them on the wall of our apartment, I was hooked. In those days Jeff was traveling a lot and I would find myself being amused by my new found “friends” as I would sip my morning coffee and read the paper. We started to collect new pieces as we traveled to the Caribbean. Shops were filled with the latest Bossons, so we carefully chose the ones we wanted to add to our collection. We decided that we needed more detailed information of what we were buying and Jeff remembered that he had once belonged to IBCS back in the early 80’s. We contacted Dr. Bob and Kathy got re-instated and not two weeks later the phone rang and Col. Bill Bell was on the other end inviting us to our first Florida Collectors meeting. It was that meeting that introduced us to wonderful friends and the wonderful world of Bossons. We continue to add to our collection and love nothing better than to come across a “find” as we rummage through little shops around the country.
